Heinje Nursery draws positive conclusion from IPM 2026

The world’s leading horticultural trade fair once again offered Heinje Nursery plenty of opportunities for exchange, innovation and assortment planning

For Heinje Nursery, IPM 2026 in Essen once more proved to be an important meeting point for both national and international trade partners. At the Heinje stand in Hall 7, numerous visitors took the opportunity to learn all about new varieties, established product concepts and current range developments.
“The IPM is one of the most important platforms for us because it allows us to hold many valuable conversations in one central location. Our stand was constantly busy, and we experienced very fruitful exchanges with both long‑standing and new partners. Overall, the fair was an absolute success for us,” summarised managing director Sebastian Heinje.

The wide and diverse portfolio once again highlighted the strong product range offered by the Ammerland-based nursery. Visitors showed particular interest in Heinje’s many proven plant concepts, such as the compact meadow hydrangea Bloombuster and the distinctive rose Knoppi, which stands out in the rose segment with its bud-rich appearance and long flowering period.

Other highlights included strong newcomers such as the rose Shades of Red and the new colour variants of the INKARHO rhododendron Grazeasy (Soft Pink and Purple). The latter’s success was underscored by winning the award for Best New Introduction in the “Woody Plants” category at the IPM New Varieties Showcase, as well as achieving second place in the “Show Your Colours Award”.

Also attracting considerable attention was the ground-covering panicle hydrangea Groundbreaker – not only in the well-established colour Blush but also in the two new shades Greeny and Ruby. Groundbreaker plants could be viewed at a dedicated stand directly next to Heinje’s main exhibition area.

Alongside product presentations, personal dialogue remained the central focus. The IPM provided ideal conditions for discussing ranges, identifying trends and working with customers to set the course for the coming garden season. For Heinje Nursery, the successful fair once again confirmed the IPM’s significance as a key industry meeting point and a fixed event in the company’s annual calendar.
